
While still students, the founders of the Association were active members of ELSA Kharkiv—the European Law Students’ Association in Kharkiv. As part of their involvement with the association, they participated in numerous educational and socially significant projects.
One of the key initiatives was the “Legal Clinic” project, which was implemented with the support of the British Council in Ukraine. This project was designed to provide free legal aid while also facilitating practical training for law students.
After graduating from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy of Ukraine in Kharkiv and subsequently moving to Kyiv, the core leadership team decided to continue their civic activities.
This is how the idea arose to establish a new organization—
the Intellectual Leadership Young Scientists Association (ILYSA),
which brought together young professionals committed to advancing science, law, and innovation.
