How it all bega

While still students, the founders of the Association were active members of ELSA Kharkiv—the European Law Students’ Association in Kharkiv. As part of their involvement with the association, they participated in numerous educational and socially significant projects.

One of the key initiatives was the “Legal Clinic” project, which was implemented with the support of the British Council in Ukraine. This project was designed to provide free legal aid while also facilitating practical training for law students.

After graduating from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy of Ukraine in Kharkiv and subsequently moving to Kyiv, the core leadership team decided to continue their civic activities.

This is how the idea arose to establish a new organization—
the Intellectual Leadership Young Scientists Association (ILYSA),
which brought together young professionals committed to advancing science, law, and innovation.

Project

Over the following years, the organization grew rapidly, the team changed, the number of members and partners increased, and numerous scientific, educational, and socially oriented projects were implemented, including:

  • Legal Clinic;
  • Business incubator for women;
  • Intellectual Property Protection Bureau;
  • Contests for legislative proposals (in the areas of agricultural policy and democratic reforms);
  • International youth development projects;
  • Art and educational exhibitions, including the exhibition “Planet Earth: One World—Ukraine and the World” at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Current Event

Over time, the composition of the Association’s team has changed—it has included a significant number of young people with a strong sense of civic responsibility, leadership qualities, and a desire for professional growth.

Today, the Association continues its work, bringing together energetic and ambitious members who are working to implement scientific, educational, and social initiatives.

In light of the expansion of its activities and its international development focus, on November 20, 2025, the Conference of the public organization “All-Ukrainian Association of Young Scientists ‘Intellectual Leadership’” (Minutes No. 01/11/2025) adopted a resolution on reorganization.

As a result of the reorganization, the organization adopted its current name.
