December 19, 2019

The exhibition coincided with a wonderful holiday cherished by Ukrainians—St. Nicholas Day. The JCI Ukraine team and the exhibition participants did not let this holiday go unnoticed, so a celebration was held on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, during which a children’s leadership public speaking contest took place on the theme: “Peace Is Possible.”

The winners of the Public Speaking Contest were: Svitlana Hlovatska, Mykola Hlovatskyi, Maksym Prybytkiv, Daria Zharkova, Oleksandr Radchenko, and Valeria Mykhalchenko. A video interview was recorded with each winner, during which the children delivered a speech about their understanding of the world in three languages—Ukrainian, Russian, and English.

The children were presented with awards by representatives of the “Future Education Center 3/7” Children’s Educational Center—the center’s managing partner, Natalia Mamakina, and certified coach Olga Rutkovska.

The induction ceremony for new members of JCI Ukraine—Margarita Bobrovnikova and Alexei Trifonov—took place.

A roundtable discussion was organized and held for JCI leaders and young leaders.

Leaders of JCI Ukraine celebrated St. Nicholas Day with children from large families.
